It can be as frightening as it is fascinating to crawl into this world. Are you up for the adventure?

About my site

You will find a number of samples of work created during technology classes at Readfield and Mount Vernon Elementary Schools. Student Projects are a collection of technology projects by Kindergarten through Grade 5 students along with links to policies, forms, kids Internet safety, newsletters and the ever popular Portaportal featuring educational websites that students may log into at school and home!

One of the joys of teaching technology is the incredible pride each student demonstrates as they learn how technology can be a learning tool. Technology, like nature, is a part of our life that can be as frightening as it is fascinating! You may believe you're being a "good parent" by sheltering your child from technology, but in reality you're robbing her/him of an opportunity to learn and grow. Teaching a child to use technology wisely, safely and ethically is just as important as teaching him to stop and smell the flowers while avoiding the poison ivy!
